We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Automotive electronics", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Switch provides tactile feedback from Knitter Switch, which we summarised at the time by saying "Because the switch incorporates a silicone dome, there is no audible click during operation but there is excellent tactile feedback". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Resettable switch protects automotive electronics from Raychem Circuit Protection: "The PolySwitch bladed contact device features a 2.8mm form factor to facilitate easy, one-to-one replacement of mini-sized fuses and Type II bimetal circuit protection devices in 12V vehicle systems".

In January 2008, we covered the news from AVX concerning its CAN Series varistors - take a look at Varistors protect CANs from ESD which says: "Multilayer ceramic varistors feature nonlinear, bidirectional voltage-current characteristics similar to back-to-back Zener diodes and an EMC capacitor in parallel".

Take a look also at the news release from Vast Systems Technology, Virtual models speed automotive development, as well as Ceramic capacitors suit sensitive applications from Kemet Electronics Corp, and Low-cost FPGAs offer dense logic and memory from Xilinx.
