We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Backshell", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Fibre optic terminus is the next generation from Smiths Interconnect - Sabritec, which we summarised at the time by saying "Terminus is designed for both multimode and single-mode applications and is compatible with standard LC termination processes". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Cylindrical connectors make light work from ITT Electronic Components: "The VEAM VSC leverages advanced design concepts to deliver a rugged machined aluminium version of the Socapex SL-419 connector family".

In July 2007, we covered the news from Omnetics Connector Corp concerning its Bi-lobe nanominiature metal connectors - take a look at Backshells banish EMI problems which says: "Miniature metal connectors add sealed backshells and braided cable shielding to reduce crosstalk and EMI problems in high-density electronic assemblies".

Take a look also at the news release from Aerco, Backshells create complete interconnect solution, as well as Backshells keep connections free from EMI from Acal TC, and Connectors are lighter than micro-Ds from Smiths Interconnect - Hypertac.
