Start with the news release Deutsch develops composite connectors from Deutsch, which we summarised at the time by saying "The latest addition to the range of harsh environment connectors from Deutsch is a composite version of its DTS-RJ45 connector for Ethernet applications. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Ethernet connectors protect against water and dust from Acal Technology: "Acal Technology is offering sample and production quantities of Bulgin's range of waterproof Ethernet connectors.".

In March 2009, we covered the news from In2Connect - take a look at Pintail indoor/outdoor interconnect system offered which says: "The Pintail range from In2Connect is an indoor/outdoor interconnect system that provides a low-cost, weather-tight standard interconnection for industrial and marine applications.".
