We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Baseband controller", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Power amplifiers cut Wi-Fi costs from SiGe Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "SiGe Semiconductor has released two new power amplifiers that provide manufacturers with the lowest cost route to developing Wi-Fi systems". A few weeks before, we featured the news release DECT transceiver sets Korean standard from SiTel Semiconductor: "RF device is one of the first DECT transceivers that operates in 1786 to 1803MHz frequency range defined for KDECT".

In June 2006, we covered the news from Tower Semiconductor concerning its 0.18-micron mixed-signal process - take a look at Programme helps Wavion to first silicon success which says: "Tower Semiconductor has begun production of the IC00100 metro Wi-Fi baseband controller for Wavion, a developer and supplier of a new generation of metro Wi-Fi systems for the communications industry".

Take a look also at the news release from Semtech, Protective devices filter as well, as well as Baseband chip has power for high-end handsets from NXP Semiconductors, and Suppression devices have SD memory cards covered from Semtech.
