We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Batteries", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Fuel gauge ICs take LDOs onboard from Texas Instruments (April 2006-), which we summarised at the time by saying "System-side and battery pack-side fuel gauges predict battery life with 99% accuracy to extend runtime, protect data and provide a better user experience". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Convertor copes with green energy standards from Advanced Analogic Technologies: "Synchronous step-down DC/DC convertor offers power savings in a variety of industrial applications, especially those using backplanes".

In January 2008, we covered the news from University of Surrey - take a look at GBP292,000 grant supports fuel cell research which says: "Dr Varcoe's research will investigate the possibility of using alkaline instead of acidic polymers, which may enable the use of metals other than prohibitively expensive platinum".

Take a look also at the news release from Cropico, Micro ohm meters provide versatility, as well as Integrated switches simplify power design from Advanced Analogic Technologies, and Management IC is adapted to silver zinc batteries from Texas Instruments (April 2006-).
