We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Battery charger", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Charger chip addresses two-cell market from Advanced Analogic Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "By supporting input voltages up to 13.2V, the AAT3663 offers designers the opportunity to replace larger and more expensive discrete charging solutions". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Charger chips meet USB battery specs from NXP Semiconductors: "Devices can detect and differentiate between a dedicated USB charger, USB host charger and USB host when charging a mobile phone battery".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Linear Technology Corp concerning its LTC4090 - take a look at Power manager takes charge of USB devices which says: "IC accepts low-voltage power sources such as 5V wall adapters, USB ports and single-cell Li-ion/polymer batteries".

Take a look also at the news release from Linear Technology Corp, Charger and LDOs combine for power in the hand, as well as Power management IC offers fast charging from Linear Technology Corp, and Power management product cuts space required from Wolfson Microelectronics.
