We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Carrier Grade Linux", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Linux development platform makes the carrier grade from Wind River Systems, which we summarised at the time by saying "First Linux distribution for the networking and telecommunications industries that adheres to the most recent Carrier Grade Linux specification". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Packet processing blade uses Octeon multicore from GE Fanuc Embedded Systems: "The AT2-5800 blade is designed to enable high-availability systems for telco-grade next-generation network applications".

In June 2007, we covered the news from Emerson Network Power Embedded Computing concerning its KAT6200 - take a look at Quad-core blade powers comms infrastructure which says: "ATCA server blade is powered by a pair of dual-core Intel Xeon processors".

Take a look also at the news release from Motorola Embedded Communications Computing Group, Dual 16-core blade boosts ATCA performance, as well as AMC boosts performance for under a grand from Motorola Embedded Communications Computing Group, and Kit accelerates Linux-based network design from Oxford Semiconductor.
