We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Cellphone", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Management IC is adapted to silver zinc batteries from Texas Instruments (April 2006-), which we summarised at the time by saying "New device will be part of all ZPower batteries as the company prepares for high volume production in mid-2008". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Acquisition brings ready-made GPS expertise from NXP Semiconductors: "NXP Semiconductors is acquiring fabless GPS specialist GloNav for an initial payment of US $85 million in cash".

In December 2007, we covered the news from Actel Europe concerning its Icicle Kit - take a look at Cool kit evaluates frugal FPGAs which says: "Kit showcases the ultra-low-power attributes, flexible implementation options and battery-saving advantages of Igloo FPGAs for portable applications".

Take a look also at the news release from EM Microelectronic, Membership furthers near-field acceptance, as well as Low-cost 8bit MCUs have small footprints from Silicon Laboratories, and LDOs are optimised for noise performance from austriamicrosystems.
