We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "CPLD", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Low-cost FPGAs offer dense logic and memory from Xilinx, which we summarised at the time by saying "XA Spartan-3A FPGAs offer the highest number of I/O per logic cell with broad connectivity support, providing flexibility and scalability for I/O-intensive display and LED backlight applications". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Complex PLDs cut power and package size from Altera Europe: "MAX IIZ devices deliver the many benefits of CPLDs - including flexibility, faster time to market and board-level integration - to handsets and other portable applications".

In August 2007, we covered the news from NetBurner concerning its PK70 Development Kit - take a look at Kit offers easy route to embedded networking which says: "Quickly customisable, embedded Ethernet platform includes all the hardware, software and tools needed to build a network aware product".

Take a look also at the news release from Embest Info and Tech Company, Two-part design eases controller interfacing, as well as Development kit armed with STM processor support from Arrow Electronics (UK), and Portable devices boost company profits from Xilinx.
