Start with the news release Avalue releases Intel Core I7-based Epic platform from Avalue Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Avalue, a member of the Intel Embedded Alliance, has released the EPI-QM57: a next-generation Intel Core I7 processor-based Epic computing board.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Concurrent SBC complies with OpenVPX VITA 65 from Concurrent Technologies: "Concurrent Technologies has introduced an ultra-low-power 3U VPX-REDI single-board computer (SBC), the TR A40/30xRC, designed to comply with the OpenVPX VITA 65 standard.".
 
In October 2009, we covered the news from Aaeon - take a look at Epic-5537 board offers wide temperature support which says: "Aaeon, an industrial PC manufacturer, has launched the Epic-5537 board, which has the option of wide temperature support.".
