We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Embedded Flash memory", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release IC boosts audio possibilities for mobile phones from austriamicrosystems, which we summarised at the time by saying "An on-chip 512Kbyte buffer memory in the AS3532 music player IC allows single-chip support of all key audio formats, both compressed and lossless". A few weeks before, we featured the news release GPS engine suits portable devices from STMicroelectronics: "The integration of ST's newest GPS solution improves tracking in poor satellite visibility conditions and shortens GPS signal acquisition times".

In June 2007, we covered the news from Freescale Semiconductor concerning its Flexis series - take a look at 8 and 32bit MCUs are pin-for-pin compatible which says: "The first two members of the Flexis series of microcontrollers aid design migration from 8 to 32bit with a common set of on-chip peripherals and development tools".

Take a look also at the news release from Actel Europe, Smart design software for faster FPGAs, as well as Microcontrollers exhibit core benefits from STMicroelectronics, and Small claims for Ethernet-enabled MCU from Asix Electronics Corporation.
