We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Ethernet switch", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Ethernet platform removes need for switchboard from Kontron UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Kontron 10Gigabit Ethernet integrated platform OM9020 provides cost savings by eliminating the need for an AdvancedTCA switch board, which is replaced by an on-board Ethernet switch". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Power centre produces 1200W at -48V from Transistor Devices: "Three hot-plug 400W rectifiers convert 90-264V AC into DC suitable for battery charging and float".

In January 2008, we covered the news from RadiSys Corporation concerning its ATCA-7220 packet processing module - take a look at Packet processing module enables high throughput which says: "With superior density and throughput for each slot, the ATCA-7220 helps companies minimise capital expenditures by reducing the amount of equipment needed".

Take a look also at the news release from Lightstorm Networks, IC accelerates carrier Ethernet services, as well as Switch IC is made for Carrier Ethernet from Lightstorm Networks, and CompactPCI boards suit tough applications from Kontron UK.
