We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Gigabit Ethernet", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Signalling analyser addresses Long Term Evolution from Agilent Technologies Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "Single scalable, distributed, troubleshooting tool identifies and isolates problems in equipment and final system integration as well as in network trials, deployment and optimisation". The same day, we featured the news release Basestation processors sport 16 virtual CPUs from Raza Microelectronics: "First multicore multithreaded processor with integrated support for Serial RapidIO interface as well as for IEEE1588 precision timing protocol controller".

In February 2008, we covered the news from Vitesse Semiconductor concerning its VSC8664 - take a look at Transceiver brings synchronicity to Ethernet which says: "First multiport Gigabit Ethernet copper/fibre PHY to include two recovered clock outputs, providing both primary and secondary clock references for a synchronous timing system".

Take a look also at the news release from Emerson Network Power Embedded Computing, SBC preserves backwards compatability, as well as Packet processing module enables high throughput from RadiSys Corporation, and VME64 board handles harsh operating environments from Concurrent Technologies.
