We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "GPS systems", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release LED driver powers three bright diodes from Texas Instruments (April 2006-), which we summarised at the time by saying "The TPS61165 can drive backlight LEDs for media form factor displays up to 9in diameter, such as those used in ultramobile PCs and LCD photo frames". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Compact RF switch eases device testing from Murata Electronics (UK): "Device measures only 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.4mm and is designed to reliably test microwave frequencies throughout a product's development stage up to final production".

In November 2007, we covered the news from Toshiba Europe Storage Device Division concerning its MK8050GAC and MK4050GAC - take a look at HDDs make the automotive grade which says: "Drives offer in-car entertainment and information systems the vital storage capacity boost required for 3D GPS navigation, mp3 playback, digital video and gaming".

Take a look also at the news release from u-blox, GPS systems offer fast acquisition, as well as Mobile TV IC adds middleware for fast switching from Siano Mobile Silicon, and Inductors offer flexibility in power design from Murata Power Solutions.
