We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "GSM handset", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release RF modules to cash in on ultra-low-cost handsets from TriQuint Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "Highly integrated modules offer a reduced bill of materials, smaller size, longer battery life and proven interoperability with leading single-chip silicon radios". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Ease of use for GSM handset tester from Agilent Technologies Europe: "Agilent has demonstrated at 3GSM a new test capability for Unlicensed Mobile Access/Generic Access Network (UMA/GAN) that promises low pricing and exceptional ease-of-use".

In November 2006, we covered the news from Cambridge Silicon Radio - take a look at Bluetooth dominance continues which says: "CSR has announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2006, reporting strong growth in quarterly revenues and operating profit".

Take a look also at the news release from Advanced Analogic Technologies, Convertor and LDO unite for handset power supply, as well as Bluetooth MCU cuts handset component count from Cambridge Silicon Radio, and Positioning system finds home in PND design from SiGe Semiconductor.
