Start with the news release Transmitter module saves space and power from RF Micro Devices, which we summarised at the time by saying "Dual-band transmit module features two symmetrical receive ports, 50ohm matched input and output ports and GSM/GPRS Class 12 compliance". The day before, we featured the news release Development suite unites key technologies from ARM: "Enables developers to use a single set of tools from architectural exploration, through SoC design, system bring-up and the deployment of hardware and virtual platforms".

In February 2008, we covered the news from RF Micro Devices concerning its MicroShield - take a look at Novel RF packages take shielding onboard which says: "Reduces the impact of EMI and RFI by minimising exposure to external fields and preventing energy leakage into unwanted areas of the host device".

Take a look also at the news release from Atmel Corporation, Quantum acquisition makes sense for Atmel, as well as Virtual machine integrated into new platform from Esmertec, and Software supports multiformat handset calibration from Agilent Technologies Europe.
