Start with the news release Freescale drives standardisation of RF technology from Freescale Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "Freescale Semiconductor is offering its radio frequency (RF) entertainment control network protocol, Synkro, to manufacturers of consumer electronics to drive the standardisation of RF technology.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Tyco upgrades its overcurrent protection devices from Tyco Electronics UK: "Tyco Electronics has replaced the RXEF overcurrent protection devices with the Polyswitch RKEFs, which are thirty per cent smaller.".
