Start with the news release Kontron develops COM Express starter kit from Kontron UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Kontron MicroETXexpress evaluation kit offers developers a fast introduction into the compact class of COM Express. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Linear converter drives up to four strings of LEDs from Linear Technology Corp: "Linear Technology has announced the LT3599, a 45V, 2.1MHz DC/DC boost-mode converter designed to operate as a constant current LED driver for up to 40 white LEDs. ".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from National Instruments - take a look at Test system gives accurate vibration measurements which says: "National Instruments has announced a portable bus-powered dynamic signal acquisition (DSA) module and a suite of vibration sensors suitable for making high-accuracy vibration measurements. ".
