We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Laser diode drivers", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Driver chip power three different laser diodes from Atmel Corporation, which we summarised at the time by saying "The ATR0881 is a laser diode driver IC for use in combination HD-DVD/Blu-ray, DVD and CD drives". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Photodetector IC for use in DVD and CD drives from Atmel Corporation: "A new photodetector IC (PDIC) for use in the optical pick-up units of DVD and CD drives is thought to be the industry's smallest PDIC device, measuring only 4 x 3.5mm".

In August 2005, we covered the news from Safety Power Group concerning its Delta Elektronika SM 1500 series - take a look at More options for programmable supplies which says: "Delta Elektronika has added two new output options to its popular SM 1500 series of programmable power supplies".

Take a look also at the news release from Analog Devices, Chipset drives Fibre Channel up to 4.25Gbit/s, as well as Laser drivers for high-speed optical drives from Zarlink Semiconductor, and Diode driver combines protection with safety from Laselec.
