We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Optical switches", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Transceiver offers high-throughput connections from Fujitsu Components Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "A collaboration between Fujitsu Components and Fujitsu Laboratories has simplified the structure and assembly of a transceiver". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Northern Europe IC design deal reached from EDA Solutions: "EDA Solutions has signed a representation agreement for Germany, the UK, Benelux and the Nordic region with SoftMEMS to market and support its open-platform, system-level design environment, MEMS Pro".

In November 2006, we covered the news from Omron Corp - take a look at Optical coupler acquisition is completed which says: "Omron has finalised its agreement with NHK Spring to acquire its FTTH optical coupler business".

Take a look also at the news release from Omron Corp, Acquisition cements optical coupler lead, as well as Multichannel optical switches cut their losses from Nu Horizons Electronics Corp, and Optical switching on show in Chicago from Polatis.
