We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Packet switching", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release MicroTCA platform is made for multiprocessing from Kontron UK, which we summarised at the time by saying "The compact Kontron OM6040 MicroTCA open modular platform enables the setup of cost effective MicroTCA environments with AdvancedMCs". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Zarlink remains in black despite industry slowdown from Zarlink Semiconductor: "Zarlink Semiconductor has released results for the fiscal 2007 third quarter ended 29th December 2006, prepared in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)".

In December 2006, we covered the news from Rittal concerning its Switched fabric backplanes - take a look at Switched fabric backplane range meets PICMG 2.16 which says: "Rittal introduces a new range of backplanes that meet the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) 2.16 specification".

Take a look also at the news release from Actis Computer, PowerPC-based SBC offers scalable performance, as well as Software specialises in system-in-package design from Cadence Design Systems, and Sevis signs for CompactPCI chassis support from Hybricon Corp.
