Start with the news release Linear converter drives up to four strings of LEDs from Linear Technology Corp, which we summarised at the time by saying "Linear Technology has announced the LT3599, a 45V, 2.1MHz DC/DC boost-mode converter designed to operate as a constant current LED driver for up to 40 white LEDs. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Signal generator achieves optimum output power from Rohde and Schwarz: "Equipped with new options, the RandS SMF100A from Rohde and Schwarz now achieves optimum values in output power and single sideband phase noise. ".
 
In July 2009, we covered the news from Cookson Electronics - take a look at Solder paste improves print cycle time which says: "Cookson Electronics has launched Alpha CVP-360 Pb-free, no-clean solder paste formulated with its economical low-Ag SACX 0807 and 0307 alloys. ".
