We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "PLD", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release LDO regulator provides high start-up current from Nu Horizons Electronics Corp, which we summarised at the time by saying "Micrel's MIC68200 is capable of sourcing 2A of current for start-up and operates from an input voltage of 1.65 to 5.5V". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release UK CEM gains heavyweight backing from MRP Electronics: "Now, as part of the Asteel group, Bedford-based MRP Electronics has become one of the largest contract electronics manufacturers in the UK".

In January 2008, we covered the news from Xilinx concerning its XA Spartan-3A FPGAs - take a look at Low-cost FPGAs offer dense logic and memory which says: "XA Spartan-3A FPGAs offer the highest number of I/O per logic cell with broad connectivity support, providing flexibility and scalability for I/O-intensive display and LED backlight applications".

Take a look also at the news release from Goepel Electronic, Boundary scan controllers have LXI interfaces, as well as Low-power FPGAs shrink to 4mm square from Actel Europe, and Programmable systems have power to spare from Actel Europe.
