We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "PMC expansion", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Computers meet military needs from Aitech Defense Systems, which we summarised at the time by saying "Aitech Defense Systems' C108 SBC reduces heat generation for increased reliability, while its pin compatibility reduces upgrade, operating and maintenance and logistics expenses". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Controller puts Pentium M in charge of VXI from KineticSystems Company: "KineticSystems has developed a new VXI slot-0 controller featuring a high performance Pentium M embedded processor".

In August 2006, we covered the news from Mistral Software concerning its S/DCP3-1201 - take a look at 3U SBC claims embedded industry first which says: "Curtiss Wright Controls Embedded Computing's S/DCP3-1201 is the industry's first 3U CompactPCI single board computer for benign and rugged applications".

Take a look also at the news release from Emerson Network Power Embedded Computing, Blades and modules take Linux onboard, as well as AdvancedTCA SBC goes parallel with two Xeons from GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, and Mezzanine card puts FPGA to work on floating point from 4DSP.
