We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Programmable DSP", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release DSPs provide high-quality audio from Texas Instruments (April 2006-), which we summarised at the time by saying "DA7xx DSPs are the first audio processors approved for both DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD and can support all audio formats present on next-generation HD DVD and Blu-Ray discs". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release ICs chosen for hearing aids from AMI Semiconductor: "Ezairo's adaptive feedback canceller delivers up to 19dB of additional stable gain and the Formant Booster speech intelligibility enhancer yields significantly better results".

In September 2007, we covered the news from Texas Instruments (April 2006-) concerning its Wave 2 software and development tools - take a look at Software library speeds WiMAX development which says: "Carrier-class software provides the most up-to-date WiMAX standards-based features that service providers demand".

Take a look also at the news release from RadiSys Corporation, DSP-powered blade speeds telecomms development, as well as Audio processor enhances hearing aid performance from AMI Semiconductor, and Mono codec has four programmable notch filters from Wolfson Microelectronics.
