We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "RAID controller", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Intel signs for RAID support from LSI Europe, which we summarised at the time by saying "Intel has selected LSI to supply 3 and 6Gbit/s solutions for server and workstation products". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Hub systems expand scope of PC instrumentation from Spectrum Systementwicklung Microelectronic: "Versatile synchronisation options enable systems designers to combine PC instruments into systems capable of simultaneous measurements on thousands of channels".

In May 2007, we covered the news from Strategic Test concerning its UltraFast oscilloscope/digitiser PCI cards - take a look at PCI instruments add dual-timebase option which says: "Cards to be configured for slow continuous recording, switch to high-speed sampling on detection of the trigger event, and then return to slow recording until the next trigger event".

Take a look also at the news release from Strategic Test, Application note accelerates PC-based acquisition, as well as RAID adapter chips enable two-drive recovery from LSI Europe, and Hard drives use FireWire and USB technology from Texas Instruments (April 2006-).
