Start with the news release Kontron server includes PCI Express functionality from Kontron, which we summarised at the time by saying "Using the PCI Express Butterfly Backplane, the Kontron Industrial Silent Server (Kiss) 2U may be equipped with up to four PCI Express x4 cards and one PCI Express x16 (PEG) card. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Pericom launches crystal oscillators from Pericom Semiconductor Corp: "Pericom Semiconductor and Designcon have announced the production availability of a family of low-jitter, low-power, high-frequency crystal oscillators developed using the company's XP technology.".

In November 2008, we covered the news from Tektronix - take a look at Tetronix introduces SDLA software which says: "Tektronix has announced serial data link analysis (SDLA) software for the DSA70000 real-time oscilloscope series to fully test high-speed serial data designs. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Harting, Harting extends cable and cable assembly range, as well as High-speed serdes handles many protocols from Vitesse Semiconductor, and Serial interfaces accelerate storage links from Pericom Semiconductor Corp.
