We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "SMT components", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Placement machine offers flexible assembly from Contax, which we summarised at the time by saying "Flexible SMD pick and place machine can incorporate automatic dispensing and handle placement of nonstandard devices, such as LEDs and metal domes". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Stencils pass paste transfer test from Photo Stencil: "Photo Stencil has revealed the results of Universal SMT Laboratories' independent, extensive study, conducted in February 2006".

In May 2006, we covered the news from DEK - take a look at Tests show promise of SAC-based solder pastes which says: "Research into screen printing for 0201 SMT components using SnPb and SAC solder pastes concludes that SAC pastes have an inherently wider process window".

Take a look also at the news release from Abacus Group, Power inductors suit cost-critical applications, as well as Solder preforms work with pick and place lines from Cookson Electronics, and Micropower convertor takes more onboard from Linear Technology Corp.
