We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Surface mount packages", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Gate drivers suit motor control applications from International Rectifier, which we summarised at the time by saying "The IRS212x family of ICs provides a gate voltage up to 20V, a typical turn-on current of 290mA, a typical turn-off current of 600mA and accepts input logic levels of 3.3V, 5V and 15V". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Bluetooth module has PIC in control from RF Solutions: "Transceiver module combines a PIC microcontroller with Bluetooth 2.0 radio".

In June 2007, we covered the news from Vectron International concerning its S0-720 and VS-720 - take a look at SAW oscillators extend beyond 1GHz which says: "Vectron International has extended the output frequency range of its surface acoustic wave based oscillators beyond the gigahertz barrier".

Take a look also at the news release from StratEdge, Hermetic sealing becomes universal package option, as well as Surface mount packages run up to 18GHz from StratEdge, and High-voltage ICs enter next generation from International Rectifier.
