We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Surface mount technology", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release GPS receivers simplify the design process from Fastrax, which we summarised at the time by saying "The Fastrax UC322 features an innovative embedded antenna design that does not necessitate a separate large antenna ground plane". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Optical inspection innovations in Munich from Agilent Technologies Europe: "AOI for post-reflow inspection is designed on a flexible platform that is easy to use, helping manufacturers keep pace with the fast-changing demands of surface mount technology".

In August 2007, we covered the news from Avago Technologies concerning its HSMx-A46x series - take a look at SMT LEDs handle automotive environments which says: "High-brightness red, amber and orange PLCC-4 surface mount LEDs are designed for use in interior and exterior automotive and electronic signs and signals applications".

Take a look also at the news release from Axiom Manufacturing Services, CEM invests to target aerospace and defence, as well as Digital colour sensors cut size and power from Avago Technologies, and Optical mouse sensors go slimline from Avago Technologies.
