We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Synchronous rectifier", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Convertor can power bigger loads from Advanced Analogic Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Synchronous step-up convertor delivers more load current than competing products in the same footprint and supporting lower startup and operating voltages". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Quarter brick convertors have 4:1 inputs from Murata Power Solutions: "DC/DC convertors offer an ultrawide 4:1 input range, making them ideal for supplying up to 100W for industrial, medical and telecomms applications".

In May 2007, we covered the news from Linear Technology Corp concerning its Controller allows power management - take a look at Controller allows power management which says: "Linear Technology's LTC3773 provides a complete power management solution for FPGA, DSP and other multi-supply applications".

Take a look also at the news release from Maxim Integrated Products, Power-management ICs put four in one, as well as MOSFET chipset raises bar on efficiency from International Rectifier, and MPU-controlled IBCs raise power efficiency from Emerson Network Power - Embedded Power.
