We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Synchronous rectifiers", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release High-Speed, 4-A MOSFET Driver from Texas Instruments (April 2006-), which we summarised at the time by saying "TI Introduces High-Speed, 4-A MOSFET Driver for Server and DC/DC Power Systems 8-Pin Power Supply Gate Driver". A couple of weeks before, we featured the news release Chipset raises DC/DC conversion efficiency from Vishay Siliconix: "A 500kHz half-bridge DC/DC controller and synchronous rectifier driver work together as a chipset to enable more efficient 25 to 300W telecomms and computer power supplies".

In May 2006, we covered the news from Linear Technology Corp concerning its LTC3705, LTC3706, LTC3725 and LTC3726 - take a look at Convertor chipset cuts power supply costs which says: "DC/DC convertor offers the performance and simplicity of buck (step-down) regulators for the design of isolated power supplies".

Take a look also at the news release from Lambda, Compact front end supplies 350W in 1U, as well as Frugal convertors aim for handheld duties from Maxim Integrated Products, and Novel technology enables eighth-brick line from Delta Energy Systems (Germany).
