‘Ultrawideband’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release European giants unite wireless operations from NXP Semiconductors, which we summarised at the time by saying "ST-NXP Wireless will be among the few companies with the R and D scale and expertise to meet customer needs in 2G, 2.5G, 3G, multimedia, connectivity and all future wireless technologies.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Software upgrades UWB WiMedia 1.2 testing from Tektronix: "Methods of implementation provide step-by-step instructions for performing 1.2 specification compliance testing using the latest UWB Analysis software.".

In April 2008, we covered the news from NXP Semiconductors - take a look at Joint venture to focus on wireless comms which says: "New company will have the scale to better meet customer needs in 2G, 2.5G, 3G, multimedia, connectivity and all future wireless technologies.".

Take a look also at the news release from TiaLinx, Cores form basis for software defined radio, as well as Antennas cover an ultrawide band from Focus EDL, and Configurable core drives ultrawideband CMOS SoCs from Tensilica.
