We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Wireless access points", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Packages support Linux on latest PowerPCs from MontaVista, which we summarised at the time by saying "LSPs will also enable device designers and embedded application developers to use the MontaVista DevRocket IDE to develop products for the new processors". A few weeks before, we featured the news release High-performance DSP in a low-power FPGA from Xilinx: "Low-power FPGAs are optimised for applications such as tactical radios for military communications, wireless access points and portable medical equipment".

In May 2007, we covered the news from Broadcom Corp concerning its BCM59101 and BCM59103 - take a look at Controllers boost power density over Ethernet which says: "Broadcom has entered the power over Ethernet market with two highly integrated power sourcing equipment controllers".

Take a look also at the news release from Atheros Communications, Six-port switch provides wired link, as well as DDR memory used on multimedia chip from Denali Software, and DC/DC convertor transformers for PoE applications from BI Technologies Magnetic Components Division.
