Start with the news release Wireless chipsets and modules come together from Arrow Electronics (UK), which we summarised at the time by saying "Brochure covers modules and chipsets for ISM, ZigBee, Bluetooth, WLAN, GSM/GPRS and 3G applications". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Chipset cuts power for asset location from Texas Instruments (April 2006-): "The InnerWireless Vision Platform operates within building networks of hospitals, hotels, factories and other targeted industries to achieve a combination of RTLS affordability and ease of use".
 
In October 2007, we covered the news from QuickLogic concerning its CSSPs - take a look at Interface option eases mobile chipset integration which says: "Addition of high speed SPI Host Controller to silicon-proven system block library extends range of alternatives for connecting to high-performance peripherals".
