Current transducers maintain accuracy
A new series of DC current transducers provides tighter accuracy to 1.0% full-scale for more stable operation over a wide temperature range from -40 to +85C.
American Aerospace Controls (AAC), a leading manufacturer of AC and DC current, voltage, power, and frequency transducers, has released a new series of DC current transducers that provide tighter accuracy to 1.0% full-scale for more stable operation over a wider temperature range of -40 to +85C compared with similar products with a temperature range of -20 to +60C The new Series 920 and Series 921 transducers automatically monitor system data remotely, making them ideal for local and remote power stations where feedback of operational data is required, such as in communications and cellular towers as well as in manufacturing process control systems

Current transducers handle speedy waveforms
A new series of bidirectional current transducers is capable of accurately following extremely fast (DC and/or AC) current waveforms.
AC transducer covers extended frequency range
A new AC current transducer provides superior accuracy over an extended frequency range from 20Hz to 2kHz.
The cost-effective transducers reduce labour costs both before and after installation.
Each sensor uses only a two-wire connection, greatly simplifying installation, and the transducers' automatic monitoring capabilities reduce the frequency of on-site inspections and related costs.
Additionally, the new transducers incorporate a sensor yoke that opens and closes, versus a passthrough hole, making them suitable for use in updating older systems.
The Series 920 transducer is available in four models with input current ranges from 0 to +/-50A DC through 0 to +/-125A DC; the Series 921 transducers offers nine models with input current ranges from 0 to +/-200A DC through 0 to +/-2000A DC.
The new transducers are available in both closed-loop (Series 920) and open-loop (Series 921) configurations, come in a wide variety of supply range voltages from 18 to 28V, and feature reverse polarity protection.
Normal current signal is 4 to 20mA DC, with 24mA DC typical at overload, and input to output isolation of 500Mohm at 500V DC.
The new transducers weigh less than 400g and are encased in UL94V0 moulded plastic.
Pricing for a Series 920 closed-loop transducer starts at $199 per unit; pricing for a Series 921 open-loop transducer starts at $162 per unit.
Quantity discounts are available.
Delivery is 3 weeks ARO.
