Potted chokes suppress dimmer emissions

Already a major supplier of open and half-potted dimmer chokes to the UK and Europe, Almag has added a complementary range of fully potted light dimmer EMI suppression and rise-time chokes Equally suitable for easy retrofit into lighting systems needing extra suppression and rise-time, or for original equipment design-in, the UL94V0 epoxy potting features a central mounting hole for easy one-bolt fixing and high temperature sleeved leadouts
With power ratings from 400W up to 5kW, the 30 choke types in three package sizes offer inductances from 0.32 to 31mH and rise-times from 45 to 400us.
All the new choke types are based on toroidal iron powder cores, for soft-saturation, low flux-leakage and a smooth current rise.
