COM Express CPU runs up to Core 2 Duo

Aaeon has released the advanced COM-945, a COM Express CPU module that adopts the Intel 945GM platform.

With more and more demands on small and rugged embedded industrial boards, the multifunction COM (computer-on-module) is the one system for which manufacturers strive.

Now Aaeon has released the advanced COM-945, a COM Express CPU module that adopts the Intel 945GM platform.

The COM-945 uses Intel Core 2 Duo, Core Duo or Core Solo or Celeron M processors, with system memory supporting DDR II 400/533/667 up to 1Gbyte.

Both parallel and serial ATA interfaces are featured, giving the user flexibility in storage choices.

In addition, versatile expansion interfaces allow system manufacturers to expand their embedded systems without having to worry about purchasing other devices to build up necessary functions, for example, PCI-Express x16, PCI-Express x1, 32bit PCI and LPC bus.

Aaeon's COM-945 supports CRT/LCD, CRT/TV, LCD/TV simultaneous dual independent displays.

The LCD interface also supports up to 18/36bit dual channel LVDS TFT panels that bring high quality and performance in display support.

The COM Express module offers advantages of faster time to market, reduced product development cost and risk and easily adapts to various embedded applications.

The target markets of COM-945 focus on Medical, test and measurement, gaming and entertainment, military and government and security.
