Voice-over-packet software runs on 12-DSP board
Adaptive Digital Technologies has entered a partnership with DSP Research to host G.Pak on the DSPR Viper-12 line of PCI boards.
Adaptive Digital Technologies has entered a partnership with DSP Research to host G.Pak on the DSPR Viper-12 line of PCI boards, creating a telephony board platform solution for applications such as wireless and cellular basestations, voice over IP gateways, remote access servers, voice-mail systems, and satellite base stations.
"Our partnership with DSP Research has enabled us to accomplish two strategic goals", said Scott Kurtz, Vice President at Adaptive Digital.
"It has put us in a position to market a complete hardware and software voice-over-packet telephony solution.
Furthermore, the partnership puts the same solution in the capable hands of DSP Research to market it as well, thereby exposing the product to a wider customer base".
With the power of 12 DSPs per board, high-density systems can be attained.
Such systems inherit the flexibility and configurability that is built into G.Pak, leading to customised solutions and maximum channel density per board.
"Partnering with Adaptive Digital is very exciting because it streamlines the integration process for our customers", said Lars Herlitz, President and CEO at DSPR.
"Offering the industry leading G.Pak on the Viper-12 will enable even more customers to rely on the proven hardware platform which currently is shipping in a number of voice-over-packet products".
Adaptive Digital's G.Pak is a scalable and configurable voice-over-packet DSP software solution.
G.Pak provides all the DSP components necessary in a voice-over-packet system and provides an application interface to allow easy integration into a user's application.
Adaptive Digital's G.Pak base algorithm set includes G.711 and Adaptive Digital's certified "carrier class", patented ITU G.168 - 2000 compliant network echo canceller.
Custom solutions are built upon this base set by adding Adaptive Digital's field proven algorithms or customer supplied algorithms.
The DSP Research Viper-12 PCI board is a high density PCI MVIP DSP resource board for computer telephony and telecom infrastructure applications such as voice-over-IP and voice-mail, wireless and cellular base stations, voice over IP gateways, remote access servers, and satellite base stations.
With up to 12 powerful DSPs, these Viper boards increase channel density and reduce costs of these applications.
