Abacus Polar has been named the Molex distributor of the year for the third year in a row, after clocking up sales growth in excess of 40%.

According to Bernard Clark, Molex Distribution Sales Manager in the UK, the award is made after evaluating the whole network on a large number of objective criteria, ranging from growth and design-ins accomplished, to success in developing markets for new Molex products, and effort invested in promotion and marketing.

He said: "To have gained this award three times in a row is a unique achievement, and recognises an outstanding performance maintained and developed consistently over a lengthy time period.

Abacus represents everything that we expect from a distributor in today's market.

It succeeds in combining excellent supply logistics, with comprehensive design and technology support.

Molex introduces hundreds of new product families every year and it is absolutely essential we partner with distributors that have the ability to identify market opportunities for these new technologies, and to take these opportunities through design and prototype to volume sales".

Martin Brooks, Marketing Director of Abacus Polar, added: "We recognise Molex as both a world leader in interconnect technologies, and in providing us with an exceptional standard of technical, tactical and operational support.

We are very proud to have been recognised as best in class in a number of the key parameters that we measure ourselves against - and particularly delighted to have achieved such recognition three years in succession".
