FCI Connectors has named Abacus Polar as its Distributor of the Year for 2003, following a year in which the distributor maintained continuous quarter on quarter growth, and significantly exceeded overall sales expectations "Abacus Polar demonstrated exceptional focus on developing and growing their business with FCI", commented Gavin Darling, Distribution Manager, UK and Ireland for FCI

"Lee Thomas and his team were impressive in their success in developing new markets for our new interconnect solutions, working closely with key customers to enable them to benefit fully from our innovative technologies.

The relationship between the two companies is exceptional at all levels, and this is reflected in the results achieved".

Martin Brooks, Marketing Director of Abacus Polar, added: "FCI has been extremely supportive of us, working in partnership with us on the planning and execution of our sales strategy.

An effective team at FCI and an effective team at Abacus, working well together, is invariably a winning combination".

This is the first year that FCI has run its distributor of the year award programme.

The award is made on the basis of business growth, in comparison with the network as a whole, together with other criteria including customer support, design-in effort, business planning and the overall relationship.
