Abacus is extending its range of D-subminiature connectors, with new shell sizes offering additional options in industrial and process control as well as telecomms rack applications The additions to the Harting mixed contact D-subminiature connector series expands the series from a 2W2 size with two cavities up to a 36W4 offering 32 signal contacts with four cavities

This connector style allows power, high voltage or coaxial contacts to be mounted along side signal carrying contacts within the same shell housing.
Abacus offers the shells with Harting's full range of contact options, including power (10 to 40A), coaxial (50 and 75ohm impedance) and high voltage contacts rated at 2A at 3kV.
Most contacts are offered with solder and crimp style terminations, and support tooling is also available.
The standard Harting contact plating offers 500 mating cycles, and a lower cost version is available on request that has a performance level of 200 cycles.
The range is fully RoHS compliant.
Abacus is supporting the Harting connectors with a complete range of accessories including clinch nut, spacers, board locks and female screw locks.
A "blind mate" feature is available to further extend the applicability of this versatile, reliable and cost effective connector family.
