Acquisition expands mil/aero connections

New Chapel Electronics joins AB Connectors as part of the AB Interconnect family within TT electronics.

AB Connectors has acquired New Chapel Electronics (NCE) to further strengthen its position in the aerospace and defence sectors.

The acquisition will complement the company's experience in the interconnection systems business by improving sales channels to those specialist markets.

NCE, which is based in Fairford, Gloucestershire, provides backshells, electrical harnessing systems and wiring solutions to the aerospace and military industries.

The company has a turnover of GBP 5.5 million and employs 90 staff members.

AB Connectors has a workforce of 250 employees and a turnover of GBP 25 million.

Harvey Preston, Managing Director of the AB Connectors, comments: "There is a great deal of synergy between NCE and the rest of the group's members".

"NCE supplies custom made products to markets where we are already present and this will improve selling and purchasing opportunities".

"The acquisition complements our expertise in interconnection systems and makes us stronger in our marketplace".

New Chapel Electronics joins AB Connectors as part of the AB Interconnect family within TT electronics, which comprises its main headquarters in South Wales, its state of the art facilities in USA and its manufacturing site in China.
