Surface-mount antennas save wireless space
Acal has a range of RF solutions from Taiwan-based Walsin Technology (WTC) for leading-edge applications such as Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b WLANs.
The connectors can be populated with up to 50 low-frequency contacts or, by sacrificing some or all of these, can accommodate up to 12 of the special-purpose contacts.
Contacts for the Micronector 220 series are available in a wide range of termination styles.
Low-frequency contacts can be PCB-mounting (straight or right-angle), SMT or crimp.
Power contacts are offered in straight solder, or straight or right-angle PCB-mounting variants.
Co-axial contacts can be straight or right-angle, crimp or PCB-mounting.
Custom fibre optic contacts are also available.
The low-frequency contacts are rated at 240V AC or DC and up to 3A.
Power contacts are available for ratings of 5, 10, 15 or 20A.
The coaxial connectors have an impedance of 50ohm and have a VSWR better than 1.35:1 at frequencies up to 6GHz.
The connectors are manufactured from high-performance materials and can be locked with jackscrews so that they can be used in severe mechanical and climatic environments.
They are specified for use at temperatures from -55 to +125C and meet the requirements of BS/CECC75100-004.
