IP library speeds design of custom user interfaces
User interface specialist Advanced Input Devices has launched its Advanced ThruPut design library in Europe, bringing reusable IP to the outsourced development of complex user interfaces.
ISO9001 certification and extensive engineering resources enable Advanced Input to offer in-depth technical support for integrating keyboards, cursor controls, displays, electronic interfaces and custom enclosures into a complete input sub-system, leaving systems designers free to focus on core functionality.
The new project management resource is designed to provide more responsive support to new and existing European customers who wish to access Advanced Input's decades of technical expertise.
European manufacturers can now take advantage of the same proven and flexible manufacturing that US divisions of major global OEMs such as Abbott Laboratories, Philips, General Electric and Siemens Medical have come to rely on to meet tough system delivery schedules.
By combining advanced production engineering with automated links between CAD, manufacturing and quality data, Advanced Input is able to fine-tune volume production schedules, while assuring the levels of quality demanded by instrumentation, kiosk and medical applications.
As European Sales Manager Phil Bradshaw observes, "The input to an electronics system is often unique, and presents the broadest combination of technical, manufacturing and logistic challenges.
The pressure for vendor reduction and the increasing focus by OEMs on 'core competence' means that we believe the time is right to bring our complete subsystem approach to European system manufacturers".
