New from Acrosser, the AR-M9936 is an enterprise networking solution platform featuring Auto-MDIX and LAN-bypass functions There are two gigabit Ethernet ports and a further two 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet ports, two external USB2.0 interfaces, a CompactFlash socket, a Mini PCI interface, and an optional bracket for installing a 2.5 or 3.5in hard drive

The advanced features of the AR-M9936 are all tailored for networking applications, such as high-end firewalls, VPNs, 802.11a/g wireless networks and gateway management.

The AR-M9936 uses Intel's latest Pentium M series CPU, combining high processing performance with one-third the power consumption of a comparable P4 processor.

This 1U server uses a Broadcom LAN chipset which supports 10/100/1000Mbit/s Ethernet and has four built-in LAN.

With the onboard Mini PCI interface, customers can plug in a VPN or Wi-Fi module to enable wireless functions.

Auto-MDIX and the LAN bypass functions are enhanced features when the LAN is communicating with an intranet or the Internet.
