Acrosser Technology has introduced the AR-B5630 embedded computer EPIC board based on the Intel GME965 chipset.

It supports Intel Core Duo/Core 2 Duo processor and features high-speed memory DDRII 533/667/800MHz SO-DIMM up to 2GB.

AR-B5630 is a powerful embedded computer board that fits application projects such as games machines, POS/kiosk, digital security, digital signage and so on.

With the Intel GME965 embedded high-speed chipset and Intel Core 2 Duo CPU supporting 533/667/800MHz FSB (front side bus), the board can handle complex multi-task processes and execute several application programs at the same time.

With an Intel GMA X3100 graphics core built in, the Intel GME965 chipset supports dual display, CRT and LVDS, or DVI (TV out).

AR-B5630 features four USB ports (two onboard and two internal), four high-speed RS-232 (one can be set as RS-422/485), dual Giga LAN, one IDE, one SATA, 5.1CH audio, 8-bit GPIO, PS2 KB/MS and one Compactflash Type II socket.

It has a standard industrial EPIC board form factor of 115mm x 165mm.

With programmable watchdog timer, RTC and boot from LAN features, the board is claimed to make customer applications more reliable and easy to maintain.

A single 12V DC power supply allows for easy installation.

Customers can add on expansion cards via the PCI-104 expansion slot.
