With the advent of Windows2000/XP, translation of the software into the Windows environment has been made possible without sacrificing the time-critical requirements of standardised testing procedures, and with the benefit of Word-based report generation.
Acqua has already been heavily beta-tested and, when coupled with the HMS II.3 artificial head, now becomes the new reference in telecomms acoustic testing.
The new software also updates test facilities, with a wider variety of front-end interfaces to support analogue and digital I/O to devices such as GSM mobiles, wireless terminals, hands-free mobiles, headsets, network echo cancellers, and even VoIP configurations.
Acqua not only automates measurements for ease of use in the laboratory or QA, but also provides unique advanced analysis capabilities for troubleshooting and product refinement.
Predefined measurements and measurement sequences for all primary telecomms standards are invoked by pressing a single button.
Additional tools provide facilities from psychoacoustics to post-processing of signals in time or frequency domain, to statistical analysis, to preparation of sequences for subjective speech quality assessment, with the latest software technology for simple development of computer programs using Acqua components.
Test results are automatically archived for access from any computer on a network, and for user-defined report generation.
AcSoft can supply all elements of Head Acoustics' measurement systems - including front-ends, HMS head and torso simulators, and aurally accurate playback systems.
Measurement front ends now include Head Acoustics' new MFE VI, which provides a USB interface to artificial heads and telecomms systems (600ohm) with generator and measurement functions under Acqua control.
AcSoft has recently expanded its workforce to provide focused telecomms testing application and systems integration capabilities.
