Phil Wood, formally in charge of European Marketing, has been promoted to the role of Senior Manager for Global Market Development.
The new role has responsibilities that will include; supporting Actel Corporation Sales Directors on key account penetration; global market development and enquiry generation within Actel's sales regions; and management of the worldwide sales lead database.
Taking over from Phil Wood as European Marketing Manager is Max Childs.
He will be taking over the role of European promotions and his main goals for the remainder of 2001 are to roll out the corporate PR, event and advertising campaigns across a European marketplace where the company has recently seen significant growth.
"Max joins Actel as an accomplished specialist in business-to-business marketing", said Vaughan Price, managing director for Actel Europe.
"Speaking fluent German and French, Max is an ideal choice to extend and grow both the European PR and advertising effort.
We are very pleased to welcome him to the company", he concluded.
Edmund Gerstl joins Actel, Munich as Regional Sales Manager for Central Europe, where he will be responsible for sales in the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.
Gerstl studied Electrical Engineering at the Fachhochschule Regensburg, Germany, including a half-year internship in San Jose, California.
Between 1992 and 1994 he was Applications Engineer with Analogy, Munich and was then promoted to Sales Executive.
In 1997 he moved to the position of Sales Executive with Cadence Design Systems, Munich.
