Top capacitance for double-layer capacitors
The new SuperCap double-layer capacitors achieve capacitance values up to 300F, or one million times higher than conventional capacitors of comparable size
The batteries are optimised for use in security, medical, industrial and living-aid products.
ACT SLA batteries offer a higher level of performance than competitive batteries and feature a new valve and 99.8% lead plates, which deliver quality levels that are 30%-50% better than typical industry standard failure rates.
The range comprises of three families - the Micro, Medium and Macro Series - offering wide selection of case sizes, voltage range of 4 to 14V and capacities up to 3000Ah.
The range also includes alkaline batteries in ten case sizes with voltages from 1.5 to 12V, lithium CR2 batteries in eight case sizes with voltages from 3 to 6V and Zinc Chloride batteries in six case sizes with a 1.5 to 9V voltage range.
The alkaline and zinc chloride batteries both feature colour-coded bands for easy identification.
"The growing demand for mobile products means that battery power is an increasingly important element in end-product design", explained Mark Jordan of Acal Components.
"By extending our product portfolio to include ACT batteries, Acal Components is not only helping customers to reduce the number of suppliers, but is also extending best-in-class technical support to this critical part of their design".
To mark the launch of this new range Acal Components, every enquiry for ACT batteries is being entered in a prize draw to win an MP3 player.
