Memory test system more than doubles its speed
The Advantest T5375 memory test system is capable of testing up to 128 devices simultaneously at speeds of either 143 or 286MHz DDR.
Currently a senior managing director of the company and head of its Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) sales division, Maruyama has spent his entire career at Advantest in the company's test systems division and helped to establish the division.
While there, he helped develop and launch Advantest's first commercial logic system.
From 1982 to 1994, Maruyama lived in the USA, helping to firmly establish Advantest here.
From 1990 to 1994 he was president of the US R and D subsidiary, was involved in establishing local offices around the country, participated in sales activities, and helped develop user support systems.
On his return to Japan, Maruyama was named to the position of managing director where had the responsibility for overseeing ATE sales and global marketing for the corporation.
Maruyama's extensive international experience will ensure Advantest's continued success in overseas markets.
Seventy percent of Advantest sales come from outside of Japan, with the USA, Korea and Taiwan becoming an essential element in Advantest's business strategy.
Advantest currently has more than 63% of the memory ATE market, but a smaller presence in the logic ATE market.
Maruyama aims to boost Advantest's test system sales in logic as well as handler sales.
